2016 was a year full of farewells in the tech world , So here a recap of all things that died in 2016 and will not see the light of day in 2017 .Every year the tech industry bombared us with a barrage of new products to pave the way of our digital future. Advancement in technology , with each phone , with each app or software , the old goes out the window making way for more sophisticated gadgets and groundbreaking innovation.
So lets checkout which Technology we will not be able to see the light of day in 2017 .
- Apple iphone 5s , 6 and 6 Plus
Apple made the launch of iphone 7 and the 5s ,6 and 6 plus were unlisted from Apple’s website. With the Apple also said goodbye to 16 GB variant phone and upped it to a minimum of 32 GB except iphone SE .
- Macbook Air 11-inch
Launch of Macbook pro with the OLED Touch bar , Apple announced the discontinuing of 11-inch Macbook pro .
- Apple AirPort WI-FI Router
Apple is getting out of router business .This means Cupertino will no longer be making the Airport Extreme , Airport express or time capsules.
- Hyundai i-10
The popular hatchback will not produced by Hyundai anymore. Hyundai i -10 9 year production cycle , comes to an end though you might still be visible on the roads .
- Cable connections
Digital set top boxes and videos streaming services have finally managed to kill off local cable connections . Days of struggling with a rooftop antenna or dish comes to an end .
Google retired Picasa and jumped to single photo services called Google Photos in February 2016 . Although you can access your Picasa Web Albums data , including your tags , captions in the Album Archieve .
- Samsung Galaxy Note 7
This phone was the biggest tech stories of 2016 and claimed top spots in the Most Disappointing phones of 2016 . As the phone burst into flames on numerous occasion , so did Samsung’s hopes of crushing Apple’s flagship Iphone 7.
Launch of Google pixel and pixel XL smartphones , Google discontinued the production of Nexus . The most likely marks the end of any nexus branded devices and the company is expected to use the Pixel name going forward .
As DSLR’s took the place in market , Point and shoot cameras vanished from retail shelves.
