In this tutorial we are going to learn a way for parents to protect their kids from fraudsters, cyber bullies , predators and Nigerian princes. It has almost become a necessity for kids to start using email and chat as a means of a communication at a much younger age than earlier and it is quite difficult to explain to kids that the person at the other end in cyberspace may not actually be who they are claiming to be .
Tocomail is a safe email and instant messanger app that only has a fun interface that teenagers love using but at the same time it has plenty of parental control safety features that will help parents make sure their kids have a safe email experience .It is available as a mobile app for both android and ios users.
1. Just download it from the app store to your device and register yourself as a parent and you should install the Tocomail app on the device that your kids will be using to access their email account.
This app supports two different logins one for the parent and a separate one for teenager and it also allows you to create email accounts for multiple kids on the same device as well.
2. Second step is to create a list of trusted contacts that you want to allow your kids to communicate with.
3. In case an email is received from somebody other than the contacts listed in the trusted list, the email will not be delivered to the teenager until the parent approves or rejects it.
The quarantined emails is immediately forwarded to parent’s registered email address to allow parent’s to check who the the sender is and then approve or reject directly from their inbox.
4. Even if your kids try to send an email to somebody who is not on the trusted list you have created, then also the email get quarantined until the parents approve it.
